The Planning Inspectorate Development Programme
The aim of this project was to have in place a system/centre that enables personnel to develop their full potential. In December 2000 a 2-day Development Programme for office and non-office based personnel was designed and developed. This included a 360-feedback system, emotional intelligence and personality assessment and a 2-day development programme that was designed to assess and develop personnel at all levels within the organisation. A training programme was set up so that internal observers can be used with within the Development Centre and the providers will act as an ongoing quality assurance and mentoring facility. A coaching and mentoring programme was developed.
In the last four years the development programme has been used by Members of the PINS Management Board, Planning Inspectors Senior Managers and Clerical grade staff. The programme has been run on a monthly basis and the feedback received has been excellent (see our clients testimonals). The Development programme has been evaluated as part of one of our associates PhD thesis.
